Traffic Marshal Training
Introduction
Our Traffic Marshal training course has been designed to support companies in meeting their health and safety obligations whilst reducing the risk of fatal accidents when carrying out common but hazardous vehicle manoeuvres on site.
This Traffic Marshal training course is suitable for any person responsible for assisting in the manoeuvring, loading, and unloading of vehicles on site and will instruct delegates in the safe passage and reversing of any vehicles on site.
Aims
The course will consist of the following content:
- Traffic management
- Identification and acknowledgement of potential hazards
- Risk management
- The role of the Traffic Marshal
- Safe passage and reversing of vehicles within a site
- Issues arising from reversing vehicles
- Safeguarding pedestrians
- HSE hand signals
Entry requirements
Delegates must be competent in English at operative level. The course content is suited to all ability levels. Learners must be 16+ and bring along valid ID (Passport, Driving license or ID card) along with National Insurance and Proof of Address.
Assessment
The course will be concluded with a multiple-choice questionnaire.
Delegate numbers
The minimum number of delegates per course is eight. The maximum number of delegates per course is 12.
Course duration and attendance
This is a half-day course. Delegates are required to complete the full half-day (4.5 hours) to be eligible for certification.
Course Validity
Certification for this course is valid for three years, after which we suggest the delegate participate in a refresher course.
