PTS RecertificationÂ
Overview
The Personal Track Safety (PTS) Recertification course enables workers to access the Railway Infrastructure including AC and DCCR electrified lines. To maintain your competency, preferably renew your PTS leading up to the expiry date. However, you are eligible to complete a PTS Refresher provided your competency has expired by no more than eight weeks.
Pre-Requisite Requirements:
- The candidates Railway Medical needs to be in date with a current Drug and Alcohol test. If you change Employer/Sponsor you will need to take a new Drug and Alcohol test.
- Minimum of 4 Entries on the PTS Logbook endorsed by the COSS & 2 management reviews. Work Experience Logbooks not meeting these requirements will result in candidates not being eligible to continue with the course.
- In the case of being more than eight weeks from expiry, you will need to attend a 2 day PTS Initial training course.
- Please advise of any special needs i.e. Dyslexia
- Photo ID – For British Nationals – a current and valid recognised, branded form of identity token, used for accessing the RMI (Railway Maintained Infrastructure) such as a Sentinel Card, full driving licence, passport, biometric ID Card, resident permit as per Home Office guidance or ‘Validate’ card. For Non-British Nationals – a current and valid passport is required.
