Project managers needed for long term works in on the rail in Glasgow. Project managers will need to have strong experience managing rail infrastructure projects.
The role will include:
• Leading tasks through planning, allocating, and reporting of work ensuring successful delivery of the project.
• Ensuring compliance is adhered to
• Maintaining accountability of the cost, schedule, and technical performance of the programme.
• Attending client meetings and site visits
• Issuing progress reports
• Monitoring and controlling all project activities and costs
• Collaborating and engaging with other departments within the business where required
• Ensuring all workers/ employees have the appropriate rail/ safety clearance to undertake the work
Essential Experience
• Project Management qualifications
• Excellent understanding of NWR rules and guidelines
• Experience of delivering lineside civils projects.
• Ability to analyse schedule, cost data for impending difficulties, and clearly communicate
• Management experience covering financial, commercial, engineering and project areas within the rail sector.
• Knowledge of NEC 3 contract management.
• Experience working within an engineering environment review and interpret technical information / engineering drawings.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload according to others’ needs, whilst managing conflicting workloads & priorities
• Ability to communicate with a wide range of people at all levels, enabling excellent relationship building
